DESCRIPTION: Pennsylvania tall clock, 8 day, time and strike, weight driven movement in a cherry case with broken arch top, three wooden finials on bracket base with applied turnings. The painted iron dial, attributed to William Jones, Philadelphia dial manufacturer, has rose spandrels, moon phase with ship of the line scene, date aperture and second's bit.
CONDITION: the case is refinished and in very good condition There is an age split to the both sides of the hood that have been repaired and there is a sliver missing from lower right return molding on hood.. The unsigned dial is in excellent condition. The weights and pendulum are period.
